We interview Ken Adams from community radio KMUZ in Salem Oregon and Oregon Community Media. Oregon Community Media is a coalition of 13 locally-controlled electronic media providers dedicated to sharing the voices of Oregon citizens with audiences across the state.  Through broadcast, cable, and online channels, the member organizations of Oregon Community Media offer citizens the opportunity to share their interests, concerns, opinions and aspirations with their fellow citizens, and to build shared understanding within and among their communities.

Oregon Community Media is open to community licensees to provide support and assistance in the development of local non-commercial media in order to support and nurture strong independent stations throughout Oregon.

KMUZ community radio’s fundamental mission is to provide access to voices in the mid-Willamette Valley that are underrepresented in mainstream media. We strive to co-sponsor, promote, and cover events impacting or hosted by communities of color, LGBTQ communities, the homeless, and others who wish to and need to tell their stories. In coming days and months, people throughout the mid-Willamette Valley will be engaged in many difficult conversations about how their communities will look in the future. KMUZ is committed to doing whatever it can to facilitate those conversations. We believe fervently in our national motto, e pluribus unum (out of many one) and we hope that we can contribute to its realization here in our own community.  One interesting show that is podcasted is Willamette Wake Up,
